Welcome to the South St. Paul/Inver Grove Heights Rotary Club website. Please search around the site and it’s links to better understand how Rotary impacts lives and communities locally and around the world.
Rotary is an international service club with about 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. While our club is an active supporter of Rotary’s programs and services around the world, we are committed to serving our own communities. Some of our activities include: scholarships, youth exchange, various grants, 4-H key award hosting, fundraising, supporting the local foodshelf etc.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self”. In keeping with this, our first emphasis as Rotarians and as a Club, is providing service to others. Friendship and fellowship; however, play an important role in our Club. Besides the camaraderie and fun at our weekly luncheon/program meetings, we plan outside activities to bring us together and interact with our Families.
Paul Harris and three other gentlemen founded Rotary in Chicago in 1905. Their idea was to bring professionals of diverse occupations together to support each other. While this is not the primary emphasis of Rotary, in remains a corner stone of our membership structure. Scan our membership roster to better understand who we are and the variety of business classifications that are attracted to Rotary.
If you think Rotary may be for you, contact a member or myself for a special invitation to our luncheon meeting. We meet every Wednesday at 12:00 PM at Emma Krumbee's restaurant in Inver Grove Heights..
